Living Landscapes
Living Landscapes - part of Kington Walking Festival Thu, 15/09/2016 - 9:30am - 4:30pm This walk explores the Herefordshire living landscape, starting at Birches Farm, Herefordshire Wildlife Trust's recently purchased reserve, which is untouched by the plough or fertilisers for centuries, and is one of the UK's newest Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Walk and Draw
The session will begin with an introduction to the nature reserve from Herefordshire Wildlife Trust staff before Richard gives a demonstration of linear mark making techniques to record shapes and textures. We will walk around the reserve, stopping for insights about the wildlife and ecology, with time to draw in response to what we are looking at together, guided by Richard.
