Kington & Radnor Cross Border Beer festival

The inaugural Kington and Radnor cross border beer festival takes place this Easter on Good Friday and Saturday 25th and 26th March. Four pubs in Kington taking part include the Olde Tavern, Oxford Arms, Swan on the Square and Royal Oak. In Radnorshire there is the Radnor Arms and Radnorshire brewery bar in New Radnor and the Fforest Inn at Llanfiange-Nant-Melan. All are accessible on the 461 bus which runs from Hereford to Llandrindod Wells almost hourly throughout the day with the last bus back around 7pm. If purchasing a return ticket journey’s can be broken. For those wanting to experience the fabulous Radnorshire countryside there is a guided walk on the Saturday starting at the bus stop in New Radnor at 10.30am to the Fforest Inn. It’s a hilly 5 and a half mile walk with splendid views. There is the option of walking back to New Radnor, just over 4 miles, at about 2pm. Entry is £5 (£4 for camra members) for either or both walks. “Over the Hillbillies” are playing at the Swan in Kington on the Friday night.
